An impromptu healing sequence performed by holistic healer and Medicine Horse facilitator Halliday Walsh on a 22y/o percheron mare Belle Amie.

Photo above: The Dance
Halliday “dances” with Belle Amie and mirrors her movement to establish a connection before the quick healing work begins.
According to Halliday, the purpose of the Universal Pump is to "begin to circulate energy around and through the energy body", both of animals and humans.

Universal Pump part I
Universal pump is a healing move which a mare would perform on her foal to give it an energetic “reset”. In this photo, Halliday helps Belle Amie rise her head.

Universal Pump part II
Belle Amie is encouraged to lower her head. Release comes instantly after. You can often hear the vertebrae or collar bones 'click.' The pumping action creates a flow which helps discharge pent up energy.

Movement I
Halliday continues to mirror Belle’s movement as the mare takes a quick walk around to stretch and relax.

Movement II
Horses naturally move around frequently, therefore, it is natural for them to change position, and adjust their bodies during healing work.

Another round of Universal Pump
The move is often performed multiple times during a session (up to 15 times). This flow is believed to stimulate energetic pathways which are are present in the energy body but not yet functioning.

After the healing work is concluded, Halliday and Belle spend a moment in meditation.
